This recipe is pure fun — smoky, sweet, sticky bacon caramelized right over a campfire or on a grill. Perfect for Thanksgiving mornings or a post-hike treat.

Ingredients
1 lb thick-cut bacon
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp maple syrup
½ tsp black pepper
Dash of cayenne (optional)
Instructions
Mix sugar, pepper, and cayenne.
Lay bacon slices on foil or a grill mat.
Sprinkle sugar mixture generously over each slice.
Grill or cook over a campfire, flipping occasionally, until deeply caramelized.
Drizzle with maple syrup and serve warm.
Why We Love It
It’s messy, fun, and SO delicious — the kind of memory the kids will talk about long after the holiday is over.
