🌅 Morning: Coffee & Club Cool

This is how we “adult” with four kids at Disney World! 🙃 Even with littles in tow, we’ve learned to find our kind of magic — good coffee, great food, and just enough rides to keep everyone smiling.

Before you do anything else, grab your Festival Passport when you enter Epcot! It’s your cheat sheet to all the limited-time bites, sips, and hidden gems scattered throughout the park.

Coffee First:

We always make a quick stop at Joffrey’s Coffee for their seasonal latte. Whether it’s pumpkin spice in the fall or peppermint mocha in winter, it’s the perfect start before tackling a full day at the Food & Wine Festival. We opted for the Churro Latte: Espresso with (we do oat) milk, dulce de leche sauce, and cinnamon syrup topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. YUM!

And don’t skip Club Cool — it’s one of our favorite hidden freebies at Disney. You can

sample sodas from around the world (and watch your kids’ faces when they try “Beverly”). It's usually packed, just FYI and there isn't really a time when it's not. There's three soda machine stations and a TON of people wanting freebies.

(Check our Instagram page for our experience at Club Cool!)

💡 Pro Tip: If you want to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — buy your Lightning Lane in advance. It’s worth every penny, and you won’t be able to grab it same-day.

Ride Timing Tips

On weekends and peak afternoons, expect longer waits for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After — two of Epcot’s most popular family rides.

💡 Our trick: hop in line early in the day before lunch, or right after the evening fireworks when crowds thin out.

There are tons of playgrounds and shaded play areas for little ones — like the drum zone near Australia or the butterfly gardens tucked around World Showcase. Chad and I usually tag-team: he takes the big kids on thrill rides while I hang with the littles at the play zones then we switch. No one can pump up a group of Guardian riders like Freya and I can!

🌸 Late Morning: Eats Before the World Showcase

Epcot mornings are peaceful — beautiful landscaping, calming music, and the perfect “slow down” vibes. Before heading into World Showcase, we love to hit a few food booths close to the front:

CommuniCore Kiosk:

Curry-Spiced Fried Cheese: with mango-curry ketchup — we expected heat, but even Freya (our pickiest eater) devoured it.

Potato Pierogi: Kielbasa, caramelized onions, and sour cream — verdict: meh. It was honestly bland.

Flavors from Fire: Montreal-Style Burger Slider (vegetarian). Made with Impossible beef, plant-based cheddar, tomato jam, and garlic aïoli — slap-yo-momma good! I don't really eat meat, so it was a huge treat having a burger! I literally ate it every single day while we were there. It was the garlic aïoli that sent it over the top!

The Fry Basket: What's a burger without fries?! Plus, it's Ezra's favorite food. They were serving up a Fry Flight 🍟 Ezra went straight for the Sea Salt–Malt Vinegar Fries, Freya couldn’t get enough of the Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with cinnamon sugar, candied pecans, and marshmallow cream, and the rest of us fought over the Truffle-Parmesan Fries with black garlic–truffle aïoli. Everyone had a favorite — and zero regrets. Calories don't count when you're induldging at an Epcot festival!

Milled & Mulled: Butternut Squash & Ginger Bisque with cinnamon cream and toasted pumpkin seeds — This was, without question, the standout dish of the day — fall in a bowl. 🍂 The bisque struck a beautiful balance: velvety and rich, with just enough cream to smooth the ginger’s warmth. The toasted pumpkin seeds added a subtle spice and satisfying crunch, elevating each bite. If anything, the drizzle of pumpkin seed oil leaned a touch generous, but once stirred in, it melded perfectly into that cozy, autumnal harmony. PERFECTION! Watch for my copy-cat recipe.. because I WILL be repeating this regardless where our travels take us!

Forest & Field: Schiacciata Sandwich stacked with mortadella, prosciutto, peppers, arugula, and pistachio pesto on warm focaccia — enormous and heavenly!

Also at Forest & Field: The Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli was a showstopper — rich, indulgent, and perfectly seasonal. The delicate pasta pockets were filled with creamy pumpkin-mascarpone, then tossed in a brown butter vinaigrette that added just the right hint of nuttiness. Each bite was layered with aged pecorino, crisp pomegranate seeds, and a dusting of hazelnut praline for texture and sweetness. It was the kind of dish that stops you mid-conversation — Freya loved it so much, she polished off two servings!

This ravioli also happens to be part of Emile’s Fromage Montage, a fan-favorite Food & Wine Festival challenge inspired by Ratatouille’s lovable gourmand, Emile. Guests can collect stamps in their Festival Passport by purchasing select cheese-based dishes around the park. After trying five, you turn in your completed passport for a special treat at the end of the day — a fun and flavorful way to “eat your way” around the world, one cheesy bite at a time.

🍹 Afternoon: World Showcase Adventures

Mexico Pavilion — Our must-stop! Grab the seasonal margarita and enjoy the cool, cave-

like atmosphere inside La Cava del Tequila. Pro tip: even though the Diablo and Avocado margaritas are off-menu, the bartenders can still make them — and any margarita can be made spicy now!

While you’re in the Mexico Pavilion, don’t miss the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros — a colorful, all-ages boat ride that’s as charming as it is relaxing. At the pavilion’s entrance, take a moment to explore the Día de los Muertos display, where the vibrant art and traditions of Mexico’s Day of the Dead come to life. 🇲🇽

EPCOT is absolutely full of worldschooling opportunities like this — every country offers a chance to experience culture, history, art, and food in a way that brings learning to life!

💧 Mom Tip: Bring refillable water bottles! We always refill at La Cantina de San Angel instead of paying Disney prices for bottled water.

Japan Pavilion — A peaceful escape filled with waterfalls and koi ponds. Don’t miss the Beef Wagyu Don, Osakana Karaage, and Teriyaki Chicken Buns. Sloan adored the Peachy Mango Boba, while I learned the cocktails here are sweeter than expected.

🎨 KidCot Fun Stops: Each country has a KidCot station where kids can color, collect stamps, and learn something new. It’s our favorite way to let them rest their feet while still exploring the world.

France Pavilion — One of our top favorites alongside Mexico! Chad and I sip Dom Pérignon while the kids grab ice cream and pastries. The evening ends perfectly watching the fireworks by the fountains — a true Disney moment.

🌙 Evening: “Adulting” Disney-Style

Magic Kingdom has the princesses. Animal Kingdom has the adventure. But Epcot? This is where parents get to adult. 🍷

From the global flavors to the Food & Wine Festival pairings, Epcot is paradise for foodies and drink lovers alike. And the best part? There’s something for everyone — even our four wildlings.

Don’t forget to turn in your Festival Passport at the end of the night for a fun surprise gift! 🎁
